If everything that Townhall says about the voting is true then honestly I believe Fraken is full of crap and a dirtbag. I mean isn't there a way to acutally stop this kind of thing from happening?
Also I'd like to note a certain Republican president we've had in office for the past 8 years that has had a certain incident in Florida over a voting recount. I'm not pointing fingers per se, just pointing something out!
I don't know about the statistics of the article. I mean realistically I believe there are tons of people that live in low income housing and apartments and townhouses, and the like. They don't own houses. They probably have tv, and cable/etc but realistically I don't think that it's as large a number as he claims. I feel that people have it better off in America, but let's look at all the people in mobile homes, and smaller housing how do you explain that? Just something to think about not playing devil's advocate.
Regardless it's important to be very grateful for what you have.
You should be very careful bringing up instances in Florida, Because despite the the Supreme Court rulings. There have been several "Independent" entities that have done recounts. I think there have been five. And every single one puts Bush as the winner. So what ever shenigans were or weren't pulled. Bush was the winner.
As far as poverty in America. I won't deny that it is there. I just claim that we have a skewed view of poverty. We are very jaded people when it comes to economics and way of life.
The one thing i can say. I don't live as well as i would like. but i do not consider myself poor. But i am sure i could find plenty of people that would. But i also will aknowledge that i am where i am because of my own actions or inactions. I am the product of my own decisions. That is one thing most liberals will not do.
